Its not normal that you always have to login.  Usually once you login, WP holds a cookie on your computer so you don't have to login again until a certain amount of time has passed. 

Is the issue only when you use the simple:press login page or when you us any login page?

Since it suddenly started happening the likely cause is a recent update to a WordPress plugin or theme that is now conflicting.  I would start with switching the theme back to a basic WP theme and see if the issue appears.  If it still does then try disabling caching next.  If the issue still appears then you'll want to follow the rest of the standard WP conflict check steps - disabling all the other plugins and then turning them on one-by-one, checking to see if the issue appears after you turn each one on.
