It certainly looks like something has been wiping out the post data before it gets to our plugin but I can't fathom what that could be.  Looks like we're going to have to dig a lot deeper.

Do you have the ability to do a new site on WPMUDEV?  If so, maybe create a new test blank WP site. Install SP and the BLOG LINKING plugin alone and see if it works?  If it doesn't work there that would point to something weird going on with WPMUDEV hosting.  If it does work there then it would mean there's something weird going on with the existing site.

Thanks.

I'm not 100% sure to be honest, would it work if I installed it on a subdomain? I think I can do that?

Yes, that would work.  Any domain or subdomain will be fine for this test.

Okay! I'll try that and let you know what happens! Thank you!

Well, as it turns out they do not allow subdomains or addtional installations on their server...soooo....that won't work, but I have to be honest, that's sort of a weird dealbreaker for me so I might just have to move it to another server and then maybe it will even be better there. I will let you know on that!

Also, I honestly am not sure if I made this clear, but if I post and uncheck the part that makes the forum topic then the post shows up as normal, with the content appearing. If I check the box to create the post in the forum then the content does not appear. Without your plugin, all of the content on the site appears properly and without issue. I'm sorry I did not say this before.

If I created a subdomain on another domain with a different host and move the site there to test it, would I be able to activate the license to test the plugin since I have already activated it on the current domain? Sorry to be such a bother!

Hi:

For the test, you don't have to set any license key - the plugin will work just fine without it.

One more thing to check, did you set any options in FORUM->COMPONENTS->BLOG POST LINKING?  If so, can you post a screen shot of that screen?

Thanks.

I did as you suggested and tested the plugin on a different server/domain, and sure enough it works as expected so it appears that this is an issue with the WPMU Dev hosting or my Wordpress installation--I'm not sure which would be more likely to be honest...pretty much at a loss at this point.

Hmm trying to think if it's possible to go in a different direction with this--and maybe I can instead use a shortcode or something like that to put a single topic at the bottom of a post. I don't mind manually doing this at all but I honestly can't find a single thing anywhere about shortcodes for this forum. Any input you can give me would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so kindly!
