Support Forum
I am signed in on this site, but intermittently, can't access the forum.
The error log on my forum shows problems. Here is a sample
Wednesday, March 20, 2019 11:02 pm | spaErrError | 63 | database
Thursday, March 21, 2019 6:55 pm | spaErrError | 498 | database
Sunday, March 17, 2019 11:51 pm | spaSecNotice | 1 | security
I had so many errors asscoiated with this plug in...
forum-plugins/warnings-suspensions/library/sp-warnings-suspensions-components.php
... I deleted it. But I am still getting errors.
I have also had users tell me they are seeing "invalid database" errors. I don't know if this problem is yours or mine.
Thanks!
I'm sorry I'm slow to respond. I was talking about errors on both sites. But I've not been on this site for a few days so I don't know.
In regards to my site, I did contact my webhost who looked into this. They feel the problem is on your end.
Error: Table 'elsaelsa_wp.elsa_sfwarnings' doesn't exist
I ran a check on the whole database and none of the tables present reported back as crashed. Looking at the other two errors you provided, it seems that the Simplepress plugin is generating queries with incorrect syntax. You may need to contact the plugin creator regarding this as they should be able to provide some more insight on what may be causing that to occur.
I did review the plugin requirements and you appear to meet them currently, so I don't believe you have a version conflict PHP, MariaDB, or Wordpress itself.
Can you help?
No. I deleted the plugin trying to solve this.
Here is a current error

Hi:
Unfortunately, that error alone is not enough information to help. When does this error show up? When you add a new topic or reply to one? Or is it always showing up every time you view the forum? Also, I assume the forum was working at one point? So something must have changed before it stopped working - the trick is identifying what that change was.
When posting about an issue users who are trying to help would generally need to know:
1. The steps that cause the issue. The more specific the better. Screen shots and videos work well at communicating what's going on and can short circuit a lot of back-and-forth messages.
2. Whether the issue causes the forum to not work at all or if the forum works but just certain features are not working.
3. Any error messages. In particular, did you turn on your debug log flags and looked at what is in the debug.log file?
4. Any recent changes on the system (wordpress updates, theme and plugin updates etc.)
5. Your system configuration (maybe attach a text file with the contents of FORUM->TOOLBOX->ENVIRONMENT)
We have item 3 but not 1, 2 or 4 or 5.
Thanks!
I'm sorry. I don't mean to be obtuse. I'm at a bit of a disadvantage in that I am not techy and all I can see is the errors in the log. I don't know what triggers the errors because I am not experiencing them on the front end. I have complaints from users, I can't reproduce.
Specifically, they see an invalid database query message when they go between sub-forums or refresh a page?
It was recommended to me that I deactivate the simplepress plugin (not delete it) and then reactivate it, causing it to rebuild tables? What do you think of this as an option?
There have been no recent changes other than I got rid of the SP plugins, not in use.

Hi:
Its going to be really hard to troubleshoot something that isn't readily reproducible. I assume you've tried to reproduce the errors your users are describing and have been unable to do so? Is it the same group of users that are having the issue? Or maybe they're all moving from the same subforum or to a different forum when the issue occurs? (Basically what do the users have in common or what actions are they doing that might likely be the same). Once you can get to the point where the issue is reproducible it is probably going to be a lot easier to resolve.
While I don't think you have a caching issue it doesn't hurt to clear all your caches (if you haven't already done so) since you did deactivate some plugins.
In the meantime I'm including some instructions below on how to turn on the wordpress debug flags and find the debug file:
Thanks.
----
When debugging issues it is often useful to see what errors are being generated by WordPress. Normally, these errors are not logged anywhere. However, a log can be generated by turning on WordPress debug flags in the WP-CONFIG.php.
The WP-CONFIG.PHP file is located in the root folder of your WordPress install and can usually be accessed and updated with any FTP client such as Filezilla.
Once you have the file open, you need to add the following items in it:
define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );
define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
It is important that you place these entries anywhere ABOVE the line with the words /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */
Save the updated file back to your server. Once saved, the error messages will be written out to a text file called debug.log.
The debug.log file will usually be generated in the wp-content folder. However, some hosts will move the file to a more secure location – in which case you will need to contact them to access it. The file will not be generated until an error occurs.
You should try whatever actions is causing you an issue and then see if this file contains new data in it. You can also delete the file completely before trying your operation – it will usually be generated again when an error or notice occurs (unless the host has remove file creation privileges for the webserver user account.
