Been working fine for years but now the forum formatting has broken. I've not changed anything unless the hosting company updated the php or something.

Simple Press Version 5.7.5.3

Default 1.2.22 Theme

Usually when you see something like that it's because of a caching issue.

Do you know what types of caching you have in place?  You might have a caching plugin and the host might have a microcache in place.  And, if you have CloudFlare or something like it there's a cache there as well.  So maybe try clearing all the difference caches and see if it helps.

The other thing to check is under the FORUM->OPTIONS->GLOBAL settings screen - make sure that the CSS/JS combined caching options are all turned off.

Finally, you might have a WordPress theme that does its own caching of things.  Page builders in particular tend to have their own caching mechanism or mechanism that tries to combine css and js files.  If so, check to see if that cache can be turned off or cleared.

If none of that helps then you should turn on the WordPress debug flags and check your debug.log file for errors - maybe something in there will provide a clue.

Just for a sanity check, make sure that your PHP version is 7.1 - 7.4; in particular make sure that it's not 8.0. I doubt your host will have made 8.0 your default overnight but best to check just to be sure.

If you're still stuck, then chances are there is a plugin or theme conflict - that can happen when other plugins and themes update.  Things that were working before can suddenly start conflicting.  To figure that out you'll need to do a standard WP conflict check - let me know if you need instructions on how to do that.

Thanks.
