Support Forum
Hey Becca:
Wow, it looks like you guys really went around and around on this one. Unfortunately at this point it looks like you're going to need more hands on help and that is beyond the scope of what we are able to provide in the Community Support forum. Technically this forum is for user-to-user assistance (we only provide moderation against bad behavior). Mr. Papa stepped up in a huge way to try to help. But in order to get more hands-on help you'll need to upgrade to our Platinum support level which allows for our folks to log into your site and expend the time required to do some in-depth hands-on troubleshooting.
If you do decide to choose that route, please make sure that you're able to provide both wp-admin administrator credentials AND ftp / sftp credentials because those are going to be the first two things that we ask for. In particular, please make sure that the ftp credentials work (i.e.: that you can log in and see the files) since that is one of those things that can quickly become a sticking point with hand-on support.
Thanks very much!
I agree Mr Papa has been very helpful. Before I shut the forum down, I have an observation for anyone that still wants to help.
I realized that each group is only showing the last three or last one of the topics listed under the forum.
I can't reorder the topics - doesn't save.
There are more things I can't do, but these two things might be a clue. Just in case this is happening to anyone else.
Thank you to everyone who has helped.

The inability to save SP settings suggest a conflict somewhere. Do you have a staging site set up? Or can you perform a thorough troubleshooting test? Try deactivating all plugins except SimplePress, and reactivating them one at a time, and/or switching to a default WordPress theme to rule out any code conflicts. Yes, this is a hassle, but this sort of issue can get tricky to nail down.

... still the same problem
Bummer, sorry I can't be of better assistance. Sounds like a closer look by the developers may be required.
