How to hide First Name and Last Name when viewing user profiles

When clicking on a user profile in our forum (v 6.5.1 with Reboot theme 2.3.0), the user's First Name and Last Name are displayed. Is there any way to hide these without editing theme files?

(In Profiles > Display Control, I have the boxes unchecked for "First Name (profile form)" and "Last Name (profile form)." That does not hide them from display.)
