Nested Parent Forum with Sub Forums

Hi,

I'm in the process of creating a sports forum.

I've created the Group as the major heading, Parent forum as the second heading and Sub forums 3rd headings.

For example: Football (group); NFL (parent); Individual Teams (sub forums).

I don't want topics to be posted in the parent forum and have all the discussion take place in the sub forums.

How do I go about that?

I haven't tried it myself but it seems to me that you could use the "no access" permission set on all the user groups for the Parent Forum. Not sure if that restricts access to the child forums but its worth trying...
