I have created a new user role 'staff'. I've done quite a bit with this successfully - most parts of my website treat the 'staff' differently to the 'members'. However, if i go to Forum/Stats although my new role shows in the heading, the count is zero and they are included as Members.
When i look at an individual record, the Role is shown correctly as Staff.
However, there is another field where it shows members. this is in black in the heading where the other fields are blue.
Any ideas?

might need a bit of clarity... you say role... which is a wp thing... so bit confused... do you actually mean new usergroup? or have you tried syncing up the wp role with an sp usergroup??
perhaps some screenshots would help...
