In the 6.3 Upgrade, there is supposed to be the 2020 theme 1.20. Updates says it is available. When you say update the theme, it just sits there and say "this can take some time" and never finishes.
If I go into my account and Buy it (Free) and download it, it is still 1.1.0
How do I get the 1.20 theme version.

Hi - it's still 1.1.0 when you purchase it because it's supposed to then upgrade to the latest version via the update process.
But if the update process isn't completing for some users then I guess we need to update the file for new purchases. We just did that so you can try downloading it directly again.

Two follow on questions for the v1.2.0, please...
There's a note in the WP-admin that states
'Please Note: Any customizations you have made to theme files will be lost'
1 - Does this refer to if I have made changes to the custom overlay? Will these be lost or will they be retained?
2 - I have made changes to the templates/desktop/spFootDesktop.php file to comment out certain parts of the footer. Can I still use the spFootDesktop.php file from V1.1.0 (So that I can just overwrite the updated version)?
3 - What about Custom css. Is that customisation also lost?

Any files that are in the Simple:Press theme directory will be overwritten. The way it works is that the existing folder is cleaned out and the new files are added. If you have a customized child theme then those are not overwritten.
