As per:

I'm interested in development of a plugin for nested/threaded replies. I'm thinking that settings could include the degree of indentation per level, and the maximum number of levels to indent, e.g. after the 5th level down replies can be made but don't indent any further.
To make things easy, pagination could be turned off when this feature is enabled (e.g., all replies on a single page).
Please- a forum without nested replies is REALLY difficult for users, they end up wading through many replies trying to find out who said what to who...
Any idea when this will be out of development and availalbe?
no eta... we have started looking at it, but not a high priority... a handful of requests which matters and why we have started looking at.. but no one has wanted to fund development...
we actually have a working model, but lots to do yet...

I just saw this reply. I'm very interested in funding this, depending on cost, of course.
its actually in development and pretty far along... but other priorities have over taken it and we havent touched it in a fair number of weeks...
Let us discuss it and see if we could re-arrange priorities were someone to fund finishing it... would not be significant due to the work already in it...

So how does this work - will you give me a quote?
We've just started configuring bbPress for a site specifically because it has threading - would prefer to go with simple press if we can get threading and know that we have support for it if the new feature has "teething pains".
let us talk about it and see where we are... but yes, if we can shuffle things, that is what we would do.. have been tied up lately with other paid customizations which have priority after normal support and development here... also possible that we could just do it if the other jobs finish up... just need a chance to talk about it... should get back with you in day or two with answer...
