URGENT Need help integrating with Wishlist Member – Paid Job

Ok I have wishlist installed with Simple Press

But here’s my dilemma.  I have several individual products (lead generating products) that we sell which all lead into a monthly coaching program.

I only want the Monthly Coaching members to have access to the forum.

So I set the user role in wishlist for all my individual products to subscriber and the roles for the coaching program to be a contributor.

The problem comes is Simple Press doesn’t recognize multiple user roles.  Since all of the people are coming in through my individual products first, they’re set up as a Subscriber, then if they buy the upgrade to the coaching package, they are added as a Contributor but Simple Press only recognizes the subscriber role.

I’m willing to pay someone that knows the fix – I need this as soon as possible

thanks

Did you see the article in the Codex about this?

http://codex.simple-press.com/codex/faq/problem-with-post-edit-buttonow-to/problem-with-post-edit-buttonow-to-configure-simple-press-with-membership-plugin/

That gives some info in particular to Wishlist and may help you with the setup.

you can still manually add users to any sp usergroup you want…  they just wont automatically get added to the usergroup when they sign up…

That’s great but what good is it if it’s not going to be automated?  You mean I have to go in and add everytime someone new upgrades to the different membership level?

did you read the article Brandon pointed to?  not sure what you want us to ‘fix’ since nothing broken – working as designed…  but perhaps you want to add or change that functionality – but thats a different issue…

not sure I understand…  simple press does support multiple roles…  you can map any role to a usergroup for auto membership…  and they can be the same usergroup…  so all these roles you mention could map to subscriber and same usergroup… when they buy coaching they could get membership in a new wp role and usergroup…

are you limiting users to a single membership?  perhaps you actually need them be able to have multiple?

if missing something, please explain further with examples…

Mr Papa – I sent you a private message.

Maybe I missed something – the forum works however it works for all membership levels.

Currently I have 7 levels and only 1 should have access to the forum.  The other 6 levels are all
lead generation products and the goal is to get them into our weekly trainings.

They can’t be removed from the initial membership levels.

Can all 6 have the same roles and be part of the same user group except the 1 that has access to forum?

on forum – usergroups – map users to usergroups, you can map them…  so yeah, 6 roles can map to 1 usergroup…

then the role you want to have access to the forum, should map to another usergroup…

uncheck the option at top for limiting users to a single usergroup membership.. then when they get the new sp role, they will retain their old usergroup plus get the new one…

I’m still stuck.  There’s got to be something I’m missing.  I would appreciate any help and maybe someone here can take a look at what I’ve got and what I can do to make the necessary adjustments. I sent you a pm.

Again, I’m willing to pay, just need to get this resolved

so what is the problem?

Can all 6 have the same roles and be part of the same user group except the 1 that has access to forum?

did you set it up as I suggested?  what was the result?

did you send us some credentials?

yes I sent you pm with a screenshot.

All I’m looking for here is to get this up and running – not trying to be rude or anything.  As I stated – I must be missing something – that’s why I sent a pm and why I;m asking for help and someone else to take a look and willing to pay for it.

I’ve got over 6K members total in my wishlist members area and only 500 of those need forum access. Right now, they all have forum access. And I’ve been trying to figure this out for 3+ days.  Again, I’m probably doing something wrong but I guess thats what I thought I paid for with support and why I said I was willing to pay to have someone take a look.

better here for that… pm is slow – checked less often…

that screenshot just shows a mapping of wp roles to sp usergroups… that is fine… but that does nothing for permissions/accesses… you assign permissions for users by assign usergroup to a forum with a permission set…

have you read: http://codex.simple-press.com/codex/getting-started/controlling-access/

now that you have mapped users to usergroups, you need to set up their access…

so you need to explain further then…

if you set up the access such that underground marketers is only usergroup with access (full access?) and the rest of the usergroups (members and guests) with no access, only underground marketers will have access…  I assume you actually want moderators to have access though too…

I dont think you have sent any credentials for use to use via pm?
