so you get the error if wp is installed in doc root or in subdir?
odd, Andy runs his base test site at doc root and run mine in subdir (actually have about 8 subdir test sites) and it works for both of us…

On my localhost (Wamp) I am only running the simplepress and lightbox, it looks the same.

Are you getting grey boxes that go vertically?
I got that on the first install. After a couple of refreshes, all the pretty icons and colors came up. I figured siteground was messing with me because it worked out after an hour.
yes… those grey boxes… cleared my caches so not sure why I am seeing that… hmm… wonder about the admin color prefs…

I can wipe that and do a fresh install. I have noticed as a member if I try to post I get “Access Denied”, so I think it may have something to do with the SQL.
might be worth it… and upate to latest wordpress 2.8… was some issues in beta2 you were running… we update nightly here (the live support forum) to the latest wp 2.8 version…
for now, lets keep a minimal plugin install if we can… just to eliminate issues…
and as to the member posting… as I mentioned a few posts back, that should be fixed if you svn up…
