I tried to browse through the forums to see if someone had suggested this before but could not find it. So here it goes...
I would like my forum users to be able to create virtual/dynamic RSS-feeds from their searches, so that if someone searches for a brand like "Snickers" and creates a feed from that search result, then he would get an update in the feed everytime someone writes a post with "Snickers" in it. I.e. there might not be a matching serach result when the feed is created, but as soon as there is, the user gets an RSS-update.
Do you get what I mean?

hmmm... not sure offhand how that would be accomplished. do you know of an existing plugin that does such for WP?
