2 - yes. check options on forum - components - upload options. configure storage on forum - configuration - storage locations. and set the permissions to allow uploading forum - permissions - manage permissions.

I installed SimpleForum in my website and looks great! However, I adjusted the email settings in the option folder into spanish and now the emails are not properly sent to new users or when somebody tries to recover a password.

I think I changed something and that's why it does not work.

It looks as follows, can anybody tell me what needs to be adjusted here?

Bienvenido %USERNAME% a %BLOGNAME% %NEWLINE%Estas son tus credenciales de usuario: %NEWLINE%Nombre de usuario: %USERNAME% %NEWLINE%Contraseña: %PASSWORD% %NEWLINE%%LOGINURL%

These changes would only effect new registrants. Lost password emails would not be touched.
It;s much more likely to be the actual email settings (from/address/domain etc). Check those are correct, check the email accont you are using exists and check if you get posts as forum admin advising of a new post.

thanks for your feedback,

When I'm trying to recover a password I receive the following error message in spanish:

"No se pudo enviar el correo electrónico.

Posible razón: el servidor puede tener deshabilitada la función mail()..."

"The email could not be sent

Possible reason; the server has the functon mail() is not activated..."

I checked in options /  email settings and the email and domain are fine:

email: viajablog.com

domain: viajablog.com

any ideas?

This is pure WordPress and that is a WordPress message. Simple:Press Forum has no direct link or influence on that code.
You might want to take note of the message however and ask your host if the php mail() function is installed on your server.
