Support Forum
I would love to use this forum on the sites I oversee, but it has some problems with accessibility. It would be great if accessibility for keyboard only and screen reader users could be considered more in development. Using keyboard only I was unable to tab to and select "reply to post". This was found in just a quick check for accessibility. I did not spend more time because once I found this problem I knew I would need to deactivate it since it would not be usable by all of our members and visitors.
Thanks!
Melanie
This is something that has been bothering me somewhat lately prompted by a recent discussion amongst core WordPress developers discussing the accessibility 'holes' in WP itself. I raised a ticket on this to start some research going so that we can determine the scope of what needs to be done.
Our main problem, and this is not an excuse but simply a statement of fact, is that SPF has just two developers (one of whom works full time) and it is a very large project. We also man the forums here and sometimes sleep and eat and go out to watch a movie! Getting everything done we would like to do is virtually impossible already.
But... as I say... I will be looking into the requirements at some stage soon.

Once the concepts are learned then I think you'll find that development doesn't take any additional time to design accessibly from the ground up. I appreciate the fact that it is a concern. There are some great resources out there for developers. I'll check back in hopes of being able to incorporate your forum. Thanks for your response!
