Support Forum
Hi there
I am just wondering whether is there any way to link Simple forum posts with google groups. We have recently moved from google group to Simple forum because of one of the advantage that it saves the communication in hierarchical fashion and therefore easy to dig out necessary info whenever needed.
But some members are really struggling with Simple forum. That's why we are looking for some way or plug-ins through which we can mirror forum posts in google group and vice versa. Please let me know.

Hi Yellow
I am looking for some way by which posts on SPF gets automatically replicated in googlegroup and vice-versa like we have linked SPF with organisation email id and every member who is hooked to that is receiving message on gmail everytime when there is new post on SPF. In other words one gets to know about the new post either logging in to SPF or gmail (while checking other mails).
But the key here is to link SPF with google group to get the same effect as mentioned earlier. Hopefully I am able to convey what I am after.
Cheers

Well - to push forum posts to some other system there are two basic ways. There is, of course, firstly the RSS feed. There are also program hooks (see, for example, http://wiki.simplepressforum.c.....ial-hooks/) which would allow you to add code on the save of all new posts. So if you can write the code needed you do have a method of triggering code on every forum topic save.
for incoming things are a little less established. One day we will get something in place but it is not there yet. However, there is code that could be utilised fairly easily i think if all the required data is available...

I'm not sure how you would interface with Google Groups though, to my knowledge there is no API for Google Groups. So while it may be possible to extract the posts from SPF, I don't see how you'll ever sync them with Google Groups.
