I would like to request two features: Avatar fly-out with member info and giving thread-owners the ability to create polls for their thread topic.
I just thought about this while I was on a WordPress theme support forum. The forum is kind of bare-bones, but it has two really neat features: a type of light-box fly-out for member avatars, and Polls. I took a screen-shot of my member avatar so you can see how it looks:

I'm not sure if Simple:Press forum has Polls as a feature, but it sure would be nice if thread-owners could create a poll for their thread if they decided they might need one.
Those are my two ideas/requests. What do you guys think? I suppose the avatar light-box fly-out could be a plugin?

Have you tried clicking on the avatars in SP? Or have you set your own SP up to do this? (In Profiles)
As to polls then we do have plans to do this when we can at some point in a future release but many users have success with the wp-polls plugin.

Hi. Actually, I did have a SP forum set-up on one of my sites, but I decided to rebuild the site, and so I removed the old version of SP that was on there. I saw that there is a newer version of SP available for WP 3.3, but I'm going to wait for them to release WP version 3.3 before I reinstall my SP forum. And I can't wait for SP 5--it looks like it's going to be just fantastic. You guys do such awesome work with your forum build!
But as far as clicking on the avatar in SP, I did do that a few times, but the avatar thumbnails didn't fly-out like that in a light-box; actually, when I clicked on an avatar, it usually just took me to the member's profile.
Is the light-box fly-out already a feature of SP?? I haven't used SP in a while, so I'm not up-to-date on new additions.

Well! I just learned something new, didn't I? (And just when I was convinced I knew it all--just shakin' my head and sighing 
). I guess that leaves Polls then: it would be such a great addition and I hope it will become a standard option.
When I reinstall SP, I'll look for the profile pop-up feature and enable it. Thanks for the prompt replies.
