First request - an additional built-in permission set that can be used for a forum to allow replies only.
The ability of simple:press to tie in so nicely to blog posts is nice but one thing that would be a nice feature would be to add a default permission set that could be applied to a forum that ONLY allows replies in a given forum and not create new topics.
Say for example you want to separate all the general discussion from the blog post discussions, you can have a forum "post discussion" where ever new blog post you make creates a new thread within this forum and you don't want people to fill the forum with random crap. I know it is not too hard to set up permissions for this as is I already did it and created a set "news reply only" for that specific forum and it works but took a bit of trial and error to figure out exactly how to do it and it seems it would add enough value to make it one of the default selectable sets.
Second request - an option to pin a post as an "announcement" ie same as pinning a topic now but locks it from future replies in that given topic.
Thanks and great work with S:P I absolutely love what you guys have done with it.

both of these are already there…
create topic and reply topics are two distinct permissions already… you can give whoever you want those kind of permissions..
and to do the announcement one, simply create topic, pin the topic, lock the topic… no replies will be allowed…

Oh no I understand that I think my intent was not clear. I was talking more about usability tweaks to streamline things. Ie instead of 2 or 3 steps for a task, make it 1 🙂
