I'm not sure if I'm just missing something. We wanted a way to get simplepress to send an Email to one/all of our admins and mods, wherein there's a list of topics newly created, and topics that have new posts in them.

A daily digest sort of scheme, say one Email every morning, would be a great way to ramp up support for us. If we've got a complete list of these new topics and posts, we know which ones to get to without having to comb through the whole forum site.

Cheers! [Image Can Not Be Found]

There is no built in support for a 'digest' but you can elect to receive an email notiication for each new post.

As usual, I'm thankful for the kind of effort that Andy and the rest of the crew puts into supporting this great plugin. The more I use it, the more I realize there's nothing comparable out there.

I'm doing the email notifications now. What I'm wishing for though, is a way to just get an overview of all the latest/newest posts of the previous day so that I can reply to them en masse every morning. I'm not sure if others would find this very useful, but I know I would. I'm looking into some options to do a hack for it. Hopefully I come up with something solid soon.

Quick question: what does "follow this topic" do? Might it be related to my current concern?

You could also use the 'All RSS' feed option and just pull that off once a day although you would have to set the limit correctly.

I use the admin bar and the admins new post queue which I find does the job well - at least for the way that I work.

I think you mean the 'Watch' option. Marking a topic as 'watched' does not send you an email when it is updated but does notify you at the top when new posts are made in that topic. It is like 'subscribing' but without the email and it really geared towards wanting to know when a new post as been made when you do not necessarily want to reply to it.

RSS sounds like a great idea! Should have thought of that myself [Image Can Not Be Found]

Yes, I meant the Watch option.

Thanks!
