Support Forum
We're using SP extensively on our ecourse site and it's a become an integral part of how we teach our classes. As such we restart the forum for each new class. That means wiping all existing forums in the main group. Some of these forums contain topics we started ourselves and need to have in each class, e.g. 'Where are you from" which contains multiple topics with locations to which students posts. We're also running a categorized blogroll forum, each topic containing a category like "Lifestule Blogger", "Photography Blogger" etc.
Currently we need to go into each forum and each topic for which we want to keep the initial post and use the move feature to move the second post and all succeeding posts into a catch-all topic which we then delete. It works but is a bit cumbersome and time extensive (but still better than deleting the entire forum and re-posting). Would it be possible to extend the delete feature similar to the move feature to offer a 'Delete this post and all preceding/succeeding posts' option? Not sure how specific this request is but I can imagine it would be helpful to other users as well.
