Hi Simplepress,

We have a forum that we
need to post a lot of images and or files; the current upload is a little confusing from some
of our users and can take some time to load since you need to change pages etc.

We have this plugin for
comments works like a charm and you have to do nothing except select the file
(image or file does not matter) and that is it and while in same page.

Would be excellent if this can
be integrated into simplepress.

Here is a link in case you would like to consider that:

Thanks a lot

Change pages in a sense:

See how many stepos to upload just an image:

1. Click icone

2. Click buttom to go to upload

3. Wait for File Manager to Open

4. Click Browse to select file

5. Click Upload

6. Go to fist tab to select uplaoded file in the middle of tooooo many (we have too many as I said)

7. Go back to original popup

Then it will show in the post

That is too many

In the easy comments upload:

Select file since the browse is already shown and that is it

It will uplaod and show the link in the text area.

Got what I mean?

Best regrads,

Bulli

sure, with the clarification...

of course worth pointing out that you can default file manager to open on browse... and you can also organize your uploads into any kind of folder structure that you want...

we will be looking at changing editors in a future version, so all this will be subject to change should that occur.

Hello.

I agree with this. On our forum, people prefers use imageshack or similar to upload and post photo, because in one action, they can upload and resize many photos.

The top I think can be a browse input element under the post, where users can select a photo on there computer, upload, resize and add on the post in one click (I already see that on other forum like phpBB).

The image manager works well anyway and has many options, but it's too long and complicated to use for a lot of pictures.

Just my opinion [Image Can Not Be Found]

Have a good day!

Hi.

I've just add an upload form in sf-form-topic.php and sf-form-post.php to do this using http://www.hostingpics.net/web.....aster.html (in an iframe)

I think it will be more fast and simple for users to add photos (don't find script which resize automatically pictures).

I agree with the intent and we will be introducing something along these lines.
Unless you have done some coding however, remember that this will not take into account forum permissions or upload settings and may not perform a high level of filtering to check the validity of what is being uploaded which may leave your site open to a malicious upload.

I would like to add to the request for a simpler option for uploading images and documents.  It should be possible to hide much of the complexity under the covers so that it is a simple browse and select option.  As one of the first people to post indicated it is a muliti-step process.  You want to understand the problem try and write a set of user instructions for using the current method and imagine the average, not IT savvy user trying to understand it.  I also don't know that there is a reason to treat the uploading of documents differently to images.  There should be one option with suboptions (and what is with no proportional scaling of images?).
