Support Forum
I'm thinking of having a YoVenice donation drive for simple press to make this a feature? It seems like a lot of people stop posting in my forum as the result of not liking some of the posts by others. (Pretty much just the politics threads!) I'd like to keep the forums as "free speech" as possible, so only an ignore button could make this happen rather than global moderation of posts.
Anyway, if I ask them all to donate money to make this happen, is it something that could happen software-wise or do you think it is a feature that is unbuildable? I'd hate to ask all my readers to donate and then have it not happen, as they would be unhappy with me. If we all donate and it happens, they will be happy they helped build better software! Let me know if it is "do-able" and I will start it off with giving you $195, the cost of a vbulletin license. I'd rather support you guys than switch ... but I do have some upset forum readers and I need to figure out a solution. An ignore button coupled with light moderation should make for a happy online forum for me!
Oh, and if they donate a lot, maybe fix embedding from flickr after that 😉 ? See how it ends up all funny with the text pushed to the side?

If simple-press had an easy to click "ignore" button and if the flickr embedding looked good, this software would be close to perfect for me!
All the best,

it's not really a matter of feature-desire or money. It is more a matter of timing. We have certain commitments and plans and the major feature list for any new version is fixed quite a long way before we even start coding.
We can talk it over here but fitting something like this in might not be so easy.
