Is it possible for the Forum Group itself to have its own url? I don't want them to act as a main and sub forum because I don't want any topics in the group iteself, but I would like a user to be able to click on the group and have it open in its own url.

Example - My forum groups to name a few are:

Snowboarding, Skateboarding, Wakeboarding. I would like to be able to open the skateboarding forum group and only see reated forum and subforum listings.

Is there a way to do this?

You could do that using menus. For example don't show the main forum menu on your site. Then create separate menus to each forum group.

You could even then turn off the display of breadcrumbs in the forum and use those menus only.
