In my forum, every person has the upsidedown G gravatar. I want them to have their own photos. I have tried to change it. I've Googled to find the answer but can't find it. I can't even change my picture here.

You should be able to upload an avatar here - it is the first option in our avatar priority list and we have had no other reports that people can not do it. Can you please tell me what happens when you try?
As to your own site make sure that you have the permission turned on for the selected user groups that allows avatars to be uploaded (if this is the option you want) and check your avatar priorities. The one at the top is first and it works its way down until it finds one to use.

Double-check the order of Avatar Priorities in Profiles -> Avatars. Mine seemed to default to a strange order which put "SPF Default Avatars" above uploads, meaning that uploaded avatars would never get displayed because it would always grab the default.

put them in whatever order you want... just drag and drop them around in your desired order...
