I read it..Little confused about where to put it
I am thinking its in the PLUGIN editor in Wordpress.....correct me if am wrong !!
and one more Q...if I mess up the code and update.assume the forum goes off
..and again restore it by putting the original code....will the forum activity start from scratch.
am asking this coz' Forum is just beginning to have some activity and dont want users to hate it..given if deyu hafta register again and all posts gone
PS:- MR.PAPA thanks for d icons tip...now you can see the ICONS are intact!! Thanks a lot
you put the template tag where you want it to show… usually you edit your wp theme template files or put it in a widget that accepts php… you could put in the wp page the forum appears on itself if you have a plugin that allows you to have php in posts/pages… or you could use a simple press program hook to use it to display (see the wiki for more info on hooks)

Maybe not that faster but it will reduce the code footprint so not so much is loaded whch s always a good thing.
for your other question then yes - you can have as many user groups as you like and mixing those with permissions can gove an almosr endless set of capabilities.
You might also want to look at forum ranks - a way of creating small groups of users who are special in some way (although still bound by the permissions granted them).
