Thanks! I got it first thing this morning and it worked without a hitch. I had to figure out all the database stuff but it wasn't hard. Hopefully our users like the new forums as much as I do and are glad to still have all their posts. 

I'm also searching for a way to move from a Mingle forum - across to Simple:Press

Can I please get a copy of that beta script? I'm happy to help test and report back.

If anyone has a success story around this,please let me know!
