Support Forum

I have had a look around and can't find this anywhere so I will assume that it doesn't exist. 

I am wondering if it would be possible to develop a plugin that posts new Forum topics and links to a Twitter account, along similar lines to the current option that sends an email to the administrator when a new post is made on the forum. 

I think Twitter followers would click on the links if they were interested in the topic, and then participate in the conversation. 

I apologise if this has already been requested before (or even exists), but I couldn't find after searching around.
