hello,

here you can see a post in my blog with pagination.

Each extra page has its own name and on the top and bottop of the content you can clearly see a drop down menu with those pages (or list) for quick navigation.

That makes it easy for someone to jump to page 3 of that post since that is what he wants to read and since the page has a name he knows what that page includes.

Basically i am more than happy with this forum since it does not miss any functionality in any way. So i was wondering if something like that is possible. If it is i am going to disable my blog and start working only on my forum

If you mean pagination of a single post then no - and I doubt any forum would offer this. Not really even sure how such a thing could be handled. If I am misunderstanding then perhaps I need a bigger explanation!

No my friend you did not misunderstood at all. I think vbulletin has a feature like this.

What i am talking about is

What about a pagebreak code feature, that would allow you to make a post into a multipage post?

For example...:

Introduction

..sometext

Opening the box

..some more text

testing

..some more text

Conclusion

...the last text

This would make it possible to make article like posts with a quick index of its content, preserving vertical browser space and perhaps even boost performance, since a lot of information is withheld unless you dig in.

no, sorry no such feature...  dont understand how that would pertain to a forum... certainly understand for a post or a page, but not a forum entry...

well it was just an idea :D.

Basically i find it hard to connect a multipage blog entry with the forum since the forum post gets way big. So i thought asking here might solve this thing.

I will just make a post in the forum with an intro and then will link it to the blog post. That way i wont have my forum stretched.

Thanks for your answers both of you 😀

ah, so you are linking a multipage blog post to a forum topic? you can limit the number of words that get posted in the topic to keep it from getting large...

maybe there is a way to link a blog post with the forum but the post that is created in the forum is like an excerpts?

so the blog post wont stretched but it will have a link to the blog post if you want to read the full story and also be able to talk about the post in the forum.

Damn even i cannot understand my self.
