Back as a Silver-membership subscriber, and increasingly impressed with the usability of the Simple:Press forum, i now have a request/an idea for a plugin, which i believe would improve usage of this forum even more:
A forum badge!
The idea is not new, and is seen on several other sites, but it would implement very will with a rather large portion of the currently avaible Simple:Press plugins, and more importantly - give users more reason for interaction!
So, the plugin itself, should give the users an idea to make their own custom "Forum Badge", for use in their signatures when they browse the web.
The "Badge" should contain information like: Their avatar, profile name, forum rank with optional implementation of number of thanks given through the "Post thanks" plugin, special ranks and perhaps even number of wordpress posts.
The request was actually made from one of my Forum users, which gave a suggestion as to how to do the layout in this thread: http://www.ndroid.dk/forum/fee.....me/#p13563 (the mycolorscreen badge).
By the way... Did you guys see that the folks over at Tapatalk is working on an implementation of Simple:Press to their application? (As seen in this thread: http://support.tapatalk.com/th.....oon.16312/)
I don't know if there is anything you can do to speed up this process, but this would be another great addition to this forums usability.

so you want us to provide some graphics package to allow users to create signature badges?? or just a template? we have talked about signature templates in the past but hasnt gotten much traction...

I don't know how much graphics is needed really. In my case, i would want the graphics to display something about my site, which means that graphics should be customizable (much like forum images now)
The important thing is a template for a badge, which is linkable on other forums. The idea is, that my users can "brag" about their standing on my forum to other users, and thereby attract others to "accomplish" the same amount of "thanks" and so on.
I think the mycolorscreen one (which i linked above) does so, by letting the user create a badge which is then converted to a linkable image. This image can then be linked put wherever this user want, with a link bag to this user's profile on mycolorscreen.
So, a tab in the user profile (for users with permission) that says:
"Create forum badge"
By default it should include (could be done with checkboxes)
Forum image (set up by an administrator through the component settings page for "Forum Badge plugin"
User name
Forum Rank
Amount of posts
And when the user want / If the data is avaible (if the plugins are installed)
Amount of thanks
Forum Points
(More?)
When the user presses "Create", an image should be created with the included data, which the user can then use everywhere he wants, with a link back to his forum profile.
Hope that clarifies what i meant 
as I said, we will be considering signature templates... can keep this in mind for that...

No worries. We do have a note for something along these lines that cropped up in discussion once before but mostly - and I hope understandably - we devote development time to the more often requested features. But when we need a break from those this is the sort of thing we get to look into...
