Support Forum
Really falling in love with your product here and have a search engine optimization suggestion for a future revision of it. I am currently running 4.1 so I'm not sure if you have already planned to implement this into the next revision or not.
Essentially the Permalink URLs should be nested within eachother for optimal keyword placement for forum / subforum builds.
Example:
Forum A
SubForum A
SubForum A1
SubForum A2
SubForum B
SubForum B1
SubForum B2
Forum B
The URLs should be structured as such
.../forum-a/
.../forum-a/subforum-a/
.../forum-a/subforum-a/subforum-a1/
.../forum-a/subforum-a/subforum-a2/
.../forum-b/subforum-b/
.../forum-b/subforum-b/subforum-b1/
.../forum-b/subforum-b/subforum-b2/
../forum-b/
Why this is useful:
Titles can be SEO with very little effort.
Example:
Technical Support
Lenze Manufacturer Products
The SMVector Product
The SCM Product
Corresponding URLs:
.../technical-support/
.../technical-support/lenze-manufacturer-products/
.../technical-support/lenze-manufacturer-products/the-smvector-product/
.../technical-support/lenze-manufacturer-products/the-scm-product/
Just a thought, keep up the good work!
We could look at this. My first thought is that it would place an arbitrary limit on subforum nesting because of having to create WP rewrite rules for all potential url patterns.
I am not sure why the current method, where as far as the url's go a subforum is treated as a regular forum, should not be equally 'SEO friendly'.
