Search forum members not only by name

If I understand correctly right now I can search the forum members by name only.

But I quite often find myself browsing through the whole list of forum members to figure out some statistics and I think that it would be helpful if some filtering could be implemented as a feature.

1) I sometimes check if there are forum members who haven't posted a single post. I delete them.

There IS an automatic (schedulable) option to delete users who haven't done any post, but I can't use it because I do have some guest posters for blog who are not contributing to forum and since they are in the same database I cannot distinguish between them.

So, it would be helpful to have a tool that shows the users who haven't done any post.

2) In order to see how active the forum is, I sometimes check how many members have visited during the last 5-7 days. Obviously, the older is the forum the less relevant is the figure of "there are xxx members" because over a period of time many people come, register, posts in few topics and never come back.

SO it would be helpful to have a filtering for "recently active" members.

in the members list you can search by name...

in forum - users - spam registrations, you can see all users who registered more than 7 days ago but never posted... then optionally delete them...  in the in development 5.0, you can adjust the 7 day period...

it would be pretty simple to use the last_visit column of the members table to check last visit...  maybe a 5.0 alpha testing plugin?

Yes, for the first item the "Spam registrations" seems what I need.

BUT I am very afraid to press that button, even that it says only "Show all spam registrations" because of the warning in front of it.

This option should be used with great care! It will remove ALL user registrations that:

  • are now over 7 days old
  • where the user has never posted to the forum
  • where the user has never authored a post
  • where the user has never left a comment

Use at your own risk!

And I don't see any other button or toggle there. So, if I press that button it will or will not remove ALL those registrations (or will it just show the list)?

Please, tell me before I use it.

lol. understand.

the button says show spam registrations which is exactly what it does... you will get a list of users that meet the requirements...  you then can check or uncheck each user and only remove the ones you want...  or just look... Wink

Haha, thanks.

You really have to reword that scary warning!
