Support Forum

Hi all,

My forum is used primarily for support and I find myself replying to posts with recommendations to outside websites such as a WP Plugin or a CopyBlogger article. I am constantly opening a new browser tab to search for a link to something, then using the editor to add links as normal.

I wonder if anyone could share their thoughts about the possibility of either integrating or creating a similar feature set to the Insights plugin. In short, this plugin adds a small meta box under the post editor allowing you to search various places and then insert those links (or media) into your posts. I don't think the whole list of services would fit into a forum, but what I do think would be useful is the Google search option.

Any thoughts?

I think it could really speed up the ability of forum mods (and maybe users, maybe not) to offer valuable reference links to their replies. It might also add a real SEO benefit too as it would give people an easier path to linking to authority sites about related topics.

Is it possible?
