Simplest of all questions--HOW DO I FIND WHICH VERSION OF WORDPRESS I HAVE?

I am interested in using simplepress, but I see that there are different versions of it for different versions of wordpress. I have searched everywhere on my blog and dashboard I can think of, and I can't find anyplace where it tells me which version I have? Can someone clue me in? Thanks. I'm just a teacher, not a techie!

Go to any Wp admin page, The version is displayed in the footer.
