Hello to all, do you think that the integration of Smilies Themer and Smilies Themer Toolbar plugins , would be great , as there are a lot limits with the current smilies system.

I believe he meant the Smilies Themer plugin for WordPress. And I would fully agree with him, would make things a lot simpler, and easier to change smilies.
You could integrate the toolbar with the forums, and no more have to use the current one you're using for the smilies.

this may become obsolete in wp 2.9, as they are talking about making smiley switching core...
I am not sure we would want to pick a specific smiley plugin like that or not. we already have the ability to upload any smiley set that you want. yes, a bit of user work is required.
as to the toolbar, version 5.0 (follows planned next version 4.2) we hope to allow tinymce plugins so there might be a chance to allow some integration.

wait! if this plugin is integrated with WP and uses its hooks/actions etc, why wouldnt it work now?
has anyone tried? on our forum - components - smileys options page, we have an option to use whatever smileys WP is using...
now, I dont know if that will pull them from the plugin or not, but if you have the plugin installed, its worth a shot.
