Simple press is an awesome plugin for wordpress. I am using it currently for my blog. I have a few suggestions that I would like to highlight and hopefully see in the next edition of simple press.
- Profile Comments – A separate comments section for profiles would be awesome.
- Moderator Notes – If moderators have edited a post, they could leave a note for the users who originally posted the post.
- Points System – This will make members more active. More points buys more badges and then members will be interactive. This will make the plugin a premium quality one.
- Better WYSIWYG – I know that the default WordPress editor and the Simple:Press editor are both TinyMCE but the WordPress one is better and doesn't automatically add formatting.
- Post Infraction System - If a user violates the rules, moderators give him infractions. Specific number of infractions will automatically ban the user for the specified period.
profile comments?? not sure what you mean here...
#2 already has an open ticket - not being actively worked however... but a great plugin for 5.0 when released...
#3 already has an open ticket... again will need to be a plugin... but a user has posted a current integration using program hooks with cube points... search the forum if interested...
#4 new editors can be added via plugin in 5.0... currently, the wp tinymce editor is heavily customized and cannot be used on the front end... there is talk about adding the needed hooks to make it possible... what formatting do you think is added?????
#5 first time that one has been requested... again, most certainly possible with a plugin and 5.0...
recurring theme there, eh?
but a lot of stuff like this will be able to be added via plugin when 5.0 releases... of course, the plugin will need to be written...

Profile comments means users can comment on the profile page of other members.
In TinyMCE Editor editor, some formatting is automatically added. If I press enter, <div> tags are added, it makes the font different. We can do that via CSS but every 'new line' is creating a new div. In wordpress editor, it doesn't and I got used to it.
Also in SPF editor, images are being automatically formatted. If nor alt is added, the code is breaking.
guess I dont see a new div for every line... certainly not here and not on any of my sites...
images being formatted? do you mean the image enlargement? that can be turned off...
