Instead of the spTopicIndexIcon being a fixed image that never changes, I propose making it change based on unread posts in each topic, similar to other popular forum systems. Not to say every forum should follow in the footsteps of all the other ones, but it would be nice for that icon to serve a purpose other than just being a random chat bubble.

This option is already in the code and will be in the next update. It's really pretty redundant as that information is already available on the topic row in the status icons but I have done it simply because, as you say, people have an expectation of such a thing.

AWESOME! Any chance you can also build in a switch to choose one or the other methods of display? So either the topic row indicator or the spTopicIndexIcon?

No - we don't use switches for this sort of stuff. You can do what you like via the templates. That's the whole idea.

Sorry, keep forgetting. So essentially it is like a switch but after manually moving around the code. Just as good. Thanks!
