Hi,

Would it be possible to implement an option that would allow people to subscribe to new posts in a given forum ? (not RSS, but via email updates)

no thats not currently possible.

I know that it's not possible in the current version - but is this something you would considering implementing in newer versions ?

perhaps... we have had a ticket open for a while now on allow auto subscribe to any post made by anyone... these could be an extension of that... but no promises... thats really what rss is for...

Is RSS instant? I'd like to be notified whenever anyone posts something into my forum. How do I accomplish this? I want to be able to respond VERY quickly.

Assuming you are the a forum admin then email would surely be better. Admin > Forum > Your Forum Options
