I was referring to a per post type system. I see what your saying about a non-like but actually getting a negative rep on a forum deters people from making negative comments, a non-like doesn't deter this. If there was some way to tie this with cube points it would be pretty cool.
sorry, tie what to cubepoints? if you like a post or have a post of yours liked, you want to award cubepoints instead of the reputation?

OK I guess to simplify this and after taking a good look at Cube Points my suggestion is this:
Allow the system to deduct cube points when a user gets a negative rating. So for every negative rating you get -5 points or whatever the admin sets it to.
So you could have two settings:
Points for user have posted rated positive: #
Points for user have posted rated negative: -#
Again, my reasons for this is to deter flaming and spam... people really hate losing their points/rep.
well, cubepoints already supports the post rating plugin and can add or subtract points for posittve or negative ratings...
we can add it to the list to support the post thanks plugin similarly...

Ok maybe I am just mising the setting then, can you show me how to set it to subract cubepoints if a post gets a thumbs down?
These are my available options - I don't see it:
Points for new topic:
Points for new post:
Points for rating a post:
Points for user have posted rated: *(this would need to be expanded to two options the way I read it).
Points for creating a poll:
Points for voting in a poll:
Points for users poll getting a vote:
Take points from users when posts/topics are deleted?
As previously mentioned, the current cubepoints implementation gives you points for any rating and does not take into account if it's a positive or negative rating.
And we have an open ticket on cubepoints to allow losing points for negative rating.
