I'm looking for a way to integrate the tag/tag cloud feature from my WordPress blog into my Simple:Press forum. Right now when someone visits my site they can navigate it by clicking on the words in my tag cloud. The problem is I'm the only one entering the tags therefore the cloud is based on my way views of how the content should be labeled. What I would prefer is a tagging option available for those who post a message in the forum to be included in the tag. I think the following steps would be required:
1. Add tag option when a new message is posted to forum
2. Integrate these tags into the cloud that appears in my blog at my main site
3. When the tags are clicked on a search is performed of all the tags on the site (including the ones I enter when making a blog post and the ones others enter when posting in the forum).
I'm sure step 3 could easily be accomplished if all the tags went into the same table in mySQL. Thanks for any comments/suggestions.

Version 4.1 includes a brand new tagging feature... however, they are not integrated in the same table because thats not as simple as it sounds since wp post tags are associated with a post (not a forum topic)...
With 4.1 you will also have tag cloud options... If you create a blog linked topic with 4.1, the forum topic will pick up the same tags as the wp post..

Do you know where the tag cloud that is generated from content tagged in the forum will render? That is, will it be in the forum or in the blog?

anywhere you want... it can be rendered via a template tag...
