Is it possible to create a user setting that can be unchecked/checked and turns off/on embedded images and video. The problem we run into is slow connections get page timeouts while waiting for image heavy topics to load.

i can certainly open a ticket for discussion. Understand the problem and it isnlt a bad idea...
