we thought about and seriously investigated it... would take some sort of license manager within the plugin to control... that by itself is fairly easily doable... but the big problem was continuing to honor our commitment that anyone who was using a plugin they had download, would continue to be able to use the plugin and receive updates... maintaining that, and adding some sort of license manager was not something we could readily find a solution for or come up with a reasonable solution ourselves...
but we continue to look and evaluate this kind of thing...
thanks for the feedback...

I have a question about the platinum level.
My "Gold Legacy" membership expired this week, so with about 24-hrs to renew, I upgraded to Platinum to be able to access all of the new themes and plug-ins in the future. (Strangely, even 3 days after upgrading I get reminders that my membership is expiring).
Anyway, I'm a little concerned about the "All free Plugin/Theme Discounts will be valid for 1 month from membership purchase" line on the membership plans page.
Does that mean that I have to go through the shop process of all of the plug-ins that I didn't use until now, to make sure that I have access to them in the future?
What happens when you release a new plug-in or theme, is that included in the platinum level after the first month?

We have heard this from a few other people as well and I am sorry about that. The plugin we use is set to just send the one but sometimes it seems to forget this... I will take another look. We may have to report it as a bug.

I will have to consult with the colleague who set the store up - who is currently away fro a few days - but my understanding is that this relates to the actual discount code you have available for use (offering, in your case 100% discount). I am unsure why the 1 month timeframe unless that too is a product of the software plugin in use. Please rest assured however, that your 1 year access will be honoured even if it means issuing a new code.
Does that mean that I have to go through the shop process of all of the plug-ins that I didn't use until now, to make sure that I have access to them in the future?
As I say - there will be 12 months access. But if you chose you could now download the 'all plugins bundle' (https://simple-press.com/downl.....ns-bundle/) which would allow you to have them even if you do not install and activate them.

Absolutely yes. Anything new is available within the membership period and fully updated post-membership.

@YellowSwordfish thanks for clarifying those points (on a Bank Holiday too!)
The message is intended to apply to free plugin and theme discount codes... Some memberships get the codes for free downloads... the platinum membership does not use discount codes... you can simply download anything at no cost... might be a better way to clarify the text...
