Private Posts
Today, we are happy to announce the release of the new Private Posts plugin. This plugin will allow users to mark a post as private when posting in a topic. In order to do this, users will have to have permission to 'create private posts". After posting a private post, only users with the 'view private posts' permission (typically Admins and Moderators) permission and the user who made the private post will be able to view that post. Other users will see a customizable message for the post content instead. This could be particularly useful in support forums where users need to pass private information to an admin without having to leave the topic and create a private message.
So head on over to our downnload page and grab your copy of the Private Post plugin!

Thank you! I just noticed the new Private Posts plugin.
It brought me back to https://simple-press.com/suppo.....reporting/.
The new Private Posts plugin will be very helpful in the use case described.
I assume there isn't a way to keep replies private when the original poster does not have the "Can view posts marked as private" permission? In any case, discretion on the part of the responder can address this.
Keep up the good work!
Mr Papa, the plugin's author, is on vacation at the moment but I will try and remember to point this out to him in case he would like to pass comment. But I do hope it is useful to you.

Hi,in the plugin page, the description tell that as admin i can reply privatly to the user that set a post like private.
I buy the plugin but when i reply to a private post, my message is visible to other users. And users don't have permission to read the private posts.
Can help me?
Did you mark the post as private when you made the post? in the post options...
