As promised, we are pleased to release version 5.6.6 of the core Simple:Press plugin. It may seem a little soon after 5.6.5 but as a few people discovered, we lost our 'hack' to correct the damage done by WP themes using the Bootstrap JavaScript library. So 5.6.6 puts it back where it belongs.
But just because this is a smaller than usual release doesn't mean there is nothing new on offer. Along with a few fixes, clean-ups and tidies, 5.6.6 also includes:
- A rewrite of the admin side forum members listing. This now uses the core WordPress table listing class making it quicker, simpler and sortable on all columns
- The ability to hide members in specific user groups from the new user list and top posters statistics which has been a user requested feature
- Improved quoting of posts to only include the most recent embedded quote - a long overdue and also user requested change
And the image above commemorates the anniversary today of Geoffrey Dummer, an English electronics engineer and consultant, publishing, in 1952, the very first concept of an integrated circuit. And that, made it possible for you, to be reading this!

Thanks for the update.
Unfortunately I get the following error when trying to edit the language settings:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ''langName'' (T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING), expecting ')' in /homepages/42/d595051861/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/simple-press/admin/library/sp-languages.php on line 20
crap... looks like there is a syntax error there... in the referenced file, line 20 change
'sq' => array('wpCode' => 'sq' 'langName' => 'Albanian'),
to
'sq' => array('wpCode' => 'sq', 'langName' => 'Albanian'),
and it will be fixed... bad timing on Mothers Day, but will see what we can do..
