Avatar and Smiley Question – Not working

 I’m playing around with the free version and seeing if it’s something I want to secure and use permanently.  So far so good!  My question is I cannot upload an Avatar.  It sends an error saying the file size is too large.  I’ve tried uploading a very small Avatar, no luck.  I’ve tried up’ing the max files size in admin options, no luck.  What am I doing wrong here?  I’ve also re-arranged the priorities for WP Avatar first, being I would like my users pictures from my site be pulled first.  Hopefully that wouldn’t mess anything up though.  

Last, the smiley come up with Broken images.  Maybe I’m overlooking this completely but not sure where to start with this one!

Hey Justin,

To answer the question about the avatar priorities, no order combination should cause problems, it’s simply where it looks first before moving on to the next. For example if you have Gravatar followed by WP Avatar, it will look for a Gravatar first and if it doesn’t find one will move on to look for WP Avatar.

I would suggest looking at the file size of the image to make sure it doesn’t exceed that of the limit in place, although by the sound of that and the broken images it could also possibly be a folder read/write permission issue.

would be nice to know what you have file upload size limit set to… and then the size of image you are uploading… per  your post, these a filesizes not dimensions…
