Hi there !

Got a weird problem : all my Plugins refuse to be updated. Everytime I go to the update page, I've got a whole bunch of Plugins that say they need an upgrade but if I try to perfom it : "You have the most recent version already installed"... And that's not the case.

Do I need to renew my membership to get acces to those update ? :/

Thanks

No you do not need to renew membership to continue to receive updates.
Two questions, Which version of Simple:Press are you using and how many plugins say they need updating. and name one with the currently installed version number

I have to say initially that no - I don't have a clue!

Let me talk it over with colleagues - one of whom will be back quite late - see if we can come up with any ideas as to why this is happening.

Admin tool is starting to act strange too...when I have a Unread Post, I click on the View New Posts button but... nothing.

And even if I go to the new post, the Unread Post counter doesn't go down.

(PHP global version of my server is 5.6 btw, if that's of any use to you)

I'm not sure this will be helpful, but it's definitely worth disabling all other plugins to see if at least the front end functionality comes back.

Also, are you using any caching plugins? If so the forum page needs to be completely excluded as it's dynamic on one page and caching will cause problems. If you can exclude, you will also need to delete any cached content as it can still linger.

Disabling plugins didn't change anything...

The forum is completly exclued from the caching process and I've emptied the Cache to no avail... 🙁

Another possibility is that it's a folder permissions issue. When you update, WordPress deletes the original and replaces with the updated version. Might be worth checking anyway..

You can check folder permissions via an FTP client. I use Cyberduck which allows me to right click on a folder, select info and from there I can check what the permissions are, and use the permissions tab to alter them if need be.

The folder permissions of the sp-resources and in turn it's folders should be the same as the wp-content folder itself.

Again, might not be a problem but definitely worth a check just to see what they are.
