I have this error when I install. I have a multisite. It says installation complete and I can click the button Go to Forum Admin but when I click it a page comes up that says :

You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

I would really like to check this out and then precede to getting a membership.

when do you get that error?  any of the admin pages you try to load?

are you sure the install completed without any errors or warning?  do the files that are listed as missing actually exist?  they would be created as part of the install...

The install page says complete then on that same screen this appears

Warning: require(/home/scents14/public_html/wp-content/sp-resources/forum-themes/barebones/admin/sp-barebones-activate.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/scents14/public_html/wp-content/plugins/simple-press/sp-startup/install/sp-install.php on line 1043

I click the Go to Forum admin and I get a message when the page loads that says

You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

I went in the file manager the files are there. I looked on line 1043 of the sp-install.php and the line reads

require SF_STORE_DIR.'/sp-resources/forum-themes/barebones/admin/sp-barebones-activate.php';
            sp_barebones_setup(false);

I am assuming that the sp_barebones_setup(false); should say true??

No - the code is right but it looks from what you say that you have a permissions problem with one of the folders. Odd that that should happen but not impossible.

Are you able to check the permissions on all of the folders and files under the /barebones folder? They should all be the same as the parent wp-content folder.

There isn't a barebones folder there is a sp-resources folder

In in there is

forum-avatar-pool

forum-avatars

forum badges

forum-cache

forum-custom-icons

forum-feature-images

forum-smileys

There is not themes folder.

Should I upload what is missing manually?

wow - that IS an odd one.

In the main 'simple-press' folder in the WP 'plugins' folder can you please go to:

simple-press/sp-startup/install/

and in that folder should be a file named 'sp-resources-install-part2.zip'

It looks like this file contains the items you are missing and, for some reason, has failed to unzip in your install. I must be honest and say I have no idea why - especially as the part1 zip file clearly did.
