Support Forum
Hi,
I have migrated to Better WordPress Google XML Sitemaps which is a superior sitemap compared with the 3 solutions you currently support (I tested all 3), but unfortunately your plugin (which I purchased) does not support Better WordPress Google XML Sitemaps.
Better WordPress Google XML Sitemaps is a free plugin available on the WP director over 200K downloads):
https://wordpress.org/support/.....l-sitemaps
Are there any plans of adding support for BWP or will your plugin be able to generate an independant sitemap for the forum section so that I am no longer dependant on a 3rd party plugin to have XML sitemap for my forum?
Thanks
I will need to leave the detailed response to @mr-papa but it probably depends on the standard WordPress hooks being fired. So - is this a recent addition to the sitemaps plugin world? I have not heard of it before.

yeah, have not heard of it either (200k is not a large number given what the three we currently support - xml sitemap, all in one seo and wordpress seo)... not sure how its better as sitemaps are pretty straight forward and simple...
It does seem to have an api which could potentially support adding a forum sitemap to it...
I will add it to our to do list to take a look, but first request for compatibility so sorry to say its not a top of to do list... and we have a release to get out here in next couple weeks... fundamentally, dont have any issue supporting other popular plugins, just a matter of time...

Thanks.
To answer to your question it's better in that it has "custom modules". I have several wordpress sections which are not "custom posts" so no existing sitemaps were able to create a sitemap for these. Thru the API I created a custom module in minutes and now I have 2 additional sections which are perfectly sitemapped. It's a nice blend of easy to use for non programmers and easy to extend if you're happy to develop your own modules.
But I understand your priorities and good luck!
PS:
Arne Brachhold's plugin has not been updated in 11 months and there are no responses to support.
The other 2 are full blown SEO packages.
Things that just work, dont need to be updated 🙂
actually, the three mentioned all provide similar capability as the modules... perhaps more abstract if not a coder, but straight forward... our forum data is not a custom post type either so has to react very similar... at first blush, and could be wrong because its a quick look, the module concept may take longer for us to implement... but looks doable...
anyways, have opened a ticket for consideration... thanks...
