If nothing happens when you click a button on the front end (such as adding a topic) it's most likely caused by a conflict of some type. Please see https://simple-press.com/docum.....-conflict/

As for the profile problem, have you tried doing as the message suggests and resetting the profile tabs?

Having the same issue in

Version: 5.6.4    Build:  13880 just installed today, hoping to fix this issue.

I did an upgrade for my javascript loading (so it doesn't load from Google anymore). Here is the forum live, and it has been working for a few years now. http://cashthroughclarity.com/forum/

Can you help, please? I also did this: You might try the forum – toolbox – housekeeping admin form and reset the profile tabs and menus and see if that helps

Thank you.

Not sure what you mean by the 'same issue'. And I can not get to your forum page without logging in.

But I DO see that the page the login form is on is loading the jQuery Ui from google which wont help any

Thank you for the reply, Swordfish.  My issue is that on this page: http://cashthroughclarity.com/forum/ un: ****** pw: ******

You cannot 'Add topic' or 'Reply' and it was working until a recent upgrade for many years.

I have done both things suggested in the forum here. I am not sure why the jQuery Ui is loading from Google still, and I will try to look into that. Could that be the only issue here?  Why did it STOP working recently. This theme hasn't been updated or changed since we started.

Thank you.

I've removed the username and password as it's not a good idea to post these publicly. If we need to access your forum we will request that you PM login details to all the admins here, although we normally reserve those measures for questions opened up in our support forum, not the pre-membership queries forum.

I have taken a quick look and as Andy says there as a jquery conflict of some type but it's almost impossible to tell what's causing it. Whatever is loading it looks like it's loading a very old version too.

You may need to disable all WP plugins and see if you can then post. If you can, enable the plugins one by one until you find the cause. If you disable them all and still can't post you may have to try switching to a default WP theme to see if the theme itself is causing the problem. Whatever you find the problem to be, you may want to consider ditching it in favor of something that plays by the rules or you can try contacting the developer of that plugin / theme for assistance.

Ike- Thank you for removing the username and password for me. If we pay for premium support, for 30 days, will you give us the fix OR can you go in and fix it for us? Thank you

No problem.

I would say no, although we wouldn't complain if you took out a support membership of some type!

The reason for this is it's really more of a WordPress plugin issue by the look of things, and in this area all we can really do is inspect the page as we've already done, and advise as we already have. WP theme and plugin management is really down to you.

Unfortunately some plugins don't play by the rules (conform to the WP API) and in turn impose effects on plugins that do such as Simple:Press, and the only people who can really fix it so you can still use the offending plugin / theme is the offending plugin / theme developers themselves.

You're best bet really is to do as I've suggested in my last post regarding disabling plugins.
