Yes, you can use simple press on as many sites as you like… same for any plugins or themes  you might purchase…

If you have our mentions addon plugin for simple press you can have users notified when mentioned…

Worth adding, that you do not need to have a subscription active to continue using plugins and themes… They will continue to work…  You just wont be able to access the support forum or get new plugins/themes without purchasing individual/bundle…

as always, if you have simple press plugins or themes, they continue to receive updates…

three methods of notifications are supported…  email, private message and in forum notification…  of course, no notification is an option too..

last 2 questions, can avatars be resized larger? can the option to choose font size be removed? 

The font resizer is a plugin which is entirely optional. Avatars can be any size you want although we always recommend that you do provide a maximum size to stop users uploading outrageously big images!
