Hi!

I understand. Thank you all for the answers!

BTW: Is there a chance to make unread Topics in the topic List bold and the readed one normal?

Furthermore, i need to know, how much support i get here, when i purchase you product. I mean, i run a Forum-site since 8 years, was converting from SMF to VB and now i stuck with IPB - and i was testing many other scripts!

Until now, i see, that your script is - for wordpress - the best available one.

Only the design is so much ... 1990 ... and i need to change some things, when i buy it, e.g

- separate topic/replies columns

- the breadcrumbs looks in some theme like ... a joke.

- the author area in the forum section (left from the replies) is....did you ever hear something about flat, metro, responsive designs?

- Oh...yes...the smileys are...a little outdated, too (But this i can imagine every admin can change...)

You have a GREAT product, well it looks like, but it needs some design-update!!!

Is there any support from you about to change this things, or i need to pay extra for this?

twisted laugh

I'm not too sure what you mean by asking how much support you get if you buy.. The short answer is you get support. As you've probably noticed from these pre membership questions we pretty much offer round the clock support so you shouldn't ever have to wait long for an answer.

As to the style, yes some themes are slightly outdated and I think there was talk about rejuvenating at least the default theme which comes free. We use Reboot here, one of our premium themes of which there are currently 2, soon to be 3.

We are happy to answer any styling questions you might have if you were to open up a topic in our support forum, pretty much everything is customisable using a child theme - of which we provide the framework free of charge to get you started. We can advise, paste code changes for you to use specific to what you want to achieve and more, but if you require one of us to physically do the work for you then it would come under our custom theme service.

When you say 'metro' design, are you referring to the stereotypical Android / Windows 8 / Windows 10 block colour panels? I've seen a couple of forums recently (unknown developer) which have tried to mimic this and have found them on the whole to be quite difficult to use. Sure it might be a while before someone gets it right but on the whole there's only so many ways you can display forum information!

If you wanted to have a go at making a child theme to fit the design style though we'd be more than happy to advise and help out, it would be interesting!

(I can quote only the complete Post, not what i have marked...baaaddd...!)

I know what you mean. But there are so many examples out there....Unfortunately, i cannot upload pictures, but the Avatar (the left side from the post) and the user name is enough. You can add a modal window, whats open if you are hovering with the mouse over the name/avatar. In this window, you have some userdata (since when registered, number of topics, country, number of post, etc... even some Admin buttons you can have here!!!).

A gradient background is realy not up-to-date, not for buttons, not for backgrounds...FOR NOTHING ANYMORE, TODAY!

Why you dont use ONE icon/symbol (e.g. fa-caret-right, taken from the font awesome) for to show print/report/perma-link-button?

Why the user need to click on "smileys", when you can show a list of the most often 20 Smileys (from him/the forum) under the editor-window? If he want to show more...than he can use the button.

When i look between the post, i see 4 (!) lines - No, i`m not drunken, and yes, i have glasses - 4 Lines! This hurt the eyes. You can make every reply in soft-fine tuned colors: white, light-blue, white, light blue,....nothing more!

Later - when i can - i will upload some pictures...

Unfortunately, this "stereotypical Android / Windows 8 / Windows 10 block colour panels?" are the future, for mobile devices and even for desktop versions.
